Rüdiger Assion has been managing director at Edelman since January 2019 and is responsible for financial and capital market communications in the D/A/CH region, based in Frankfurt and Cologne.
Prior to his ten years at the helm of Deutsche Börse AG as Global Head of Group Communications, Rüdiger held leadership and advisory roles in brand communications and positioning at major global companies such as General Motors, Volkswagen and BMW. Before joining Edelman, Rüdiger was a member of the Executive Board of the Swiss derivatives bank Leonteq AG in Zurich, where he was responsible for communications, investor relations and internal consulting.
Rüdiger has more than 25 years of experience in corporate, financial, and capital market communications, mergers and acquisitions, and turnaround programmes. In the past, he has also gained experience in dealing with stakeholders such as employee representatives and regulatory authorities. Rüdiger is considered one of the best and most experienced communications consultants in the German financial industry.
