Anja Guckenberger

As Chief Client Service Officer, Anja Guckenberger is responsible for the strategic development of Edelman's German and international client portfolio in Germany.

Anja has been working in the PR industry for over 20 years and has a dedicated focus on developing integrated communication campaigns for companies and brands within the FMCG, food and beverage, beauty, retail, fashion and lifestyle, and pharmaceutical sectors.

Her special expertise lies in the field of international communication and management of pan-European or global campaigns. From 2002 to 2010, she was responsible for the global PR of Unilever brand Dove, developeing PR programmes, toolkits and assets and managing the PR launch of the Dove "Campaign for Real Beauty" initiative across 40 countries. 

She won the European Excellence Award in 2011 for the pan-European "Save Food" campaign for the Toppits brand (Cofresco) and the Sabre Award 2008 for the German Dove “pro age” PR campaign.  

Previously, Anja was Deputy Head of the Brand Marketing Unit at Edelman and worked for clients such as Mondelēz International, Danone Waters and Adidas. In addition, as Head of Strategy Germany, she oversaw a number of corporate brand and positioning projects, including for C&A and Zalando. During her time at Edelman headquarters in New York, she worked for clients such as Samsung and BMW.
