New Executive Director Corporate Communications: Gerrit Gericke moves from Sony to Edelman
Gerrit Gericke (43), formerly Head of Public Relations at Sony Deutschland, moved from Sony Europe B.V. to Edelman on 1 July 2019. At Edelman, he will be a consultant for key clients in terms of positioning, internal and external communication as well as corporate reputation. Gerrit Gericke works across locations for the Edelman offices in Frankfurt, Berlin, Cologne and Hamburg. His office will be based in Cologne.
Prior to starting at Edelman, Gerrit Gericke worked for more than ten years in various communications positions at Sony Europe B.V. He was most recently responsible for communication of all electronics products, planning and implementing all social media activities with bloggers and influencers, as well as internal corporate communication in Germany. He studied history, politics and journalism.
He acquired initial work experience as a journalist at Westdeutsche Rundfunk and later worked for various agencies such as Hering Schuppener in Düsseldorf.
