Dr. Andreas Kloevekorn

Chief Operating Officer

Advancing digital business at Edelman means streamlining digital to become an integral component of all our teamwork, collaborating with the Digital team to produce high-quality, creative, innovative communication in the digital environment, and staying in touch with the latest trends.

Andreas Kloevekorn has been in charge of the Digital team at Edelman Germany as Managing Director since December 2013. The team has over 45 employees and offers comprehensive services in digital and integrated communications: strategic consulting and design for creative campaigns and similar actions, website and app development, digital applications and film, efficient activation in the digital environment via paid, search, and social channels - all from a single source.

Andreas Kloevekorn began working in digital agencies in the late 90s and over the years he has gained significant experience with the integration of digital media in a larger communications mix. Integrated communication, international projects and campaigns, as well as CRM and customer loyalty programs are among his areas of expertise - not to mention his talent for finding the perfect team for just about any project. With his years of experience in on-site consulting for clients, he knows what processes and necessities look like on the business side and can coordinate and prep his teams accordingly.

After completing his PhD in modern history, Andreas Kloevekorn went to work for Kabel New Media in Hamburg in 1998, where his job as an online editor afforded him a first-hand look at the ups and downs of the new economy. In 2001 he started as a digital consultant at Proximity, mainly collaborating with clients such as Deutsche Telekom and Volkswagen. From 2005 to 2013 he held various positions at the recently founded Tribal DDB Hamburg (now DDB Hamburg), where he helped to establish the Consulting unit and took the lead on the Volkswagen account as Client Service Director and member of the board.

Privately, he admits to being a book fan - no matter how long he has worked in digital, he'll always enjoy the weight and feel of ink on pages.
